Psychology Sessions for Children in Melbourne

Person-centred, evidence-based psychological support for children, teenagers, and families.

Spectrum House provides individual psychology sessions for children, adolescents, and their families across a wide range of concerns. Our sessions are evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and tailored to the individual.

Our psychologists work with clients across a broad range of concerns — from anxiety and depression to social challenges, behavioural difficulties, self-esteem, and adjustment to life changes. We work with children from early primary school age through to adolescence, and also offer parent support sessions.

Sessions are structured around evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychoeducation. We take a practical approach — sessions include skill-building, real-world application, and regular review.

We also support parents separately. Understanding your child's psychology and how to respond effectively at home is a powerful part of the therapeutic process. Parent sessions can be standalone or run alongside your child's sessions.
