Archie Jayasundera
PsychologistArchie is a registered psychologist and currently completing a post-registration Master's in Clinical Psychology. She works primarily with children and young people, supporting them to understand, manage and regulate their emotions, anxiety, attention differences, and life changes.
Archie brings experience from community, school, and clinical settings, including trauma-informed work with children and families. She takes a warm, bubbly, and neuro-affirming approach and believes in the importance of creating a safe environment for a child to be their authentic self.

She also has a keen interest in supporting parents and caregivers to better understand their child's nervous system and feel more confident in how they respond.
With young people, Archie values collaboration and choice, supporting them to feel heard, respected, and involved in the therapeutic process. Her work is informed by evidence-based strategies which she adapts to fit the young person's developmental stage and individual needs.
Archie also conducts comprehensive autism, ADHD and learning assessments and works collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure children receive practical, strengths-based support.
Outside of work, Archie enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid reader. She balances her love of quiet moments with watching comedy and fantasy-based series and movies, as well as enjoying a good challenge- from keeping her indoor plants alive to trying new activities like surfing.
