Spectrum House will close as a group psychology practice in mid-December 2026.
For almost two decades, Spectrum House has had the privilege of supporting children, young people and families throughout our community.
During that time, one purpose has guided everything we have done; helping children thrive. That purpose hasn't changed. What is changing is how Emma-Rose, founder of Spectrum House, will continue that work.
After much reflection, Emma-Rose has made the decision that Spectrum House will close as a group psychology practice mid-December, 2026.
We know that change can bring questions and uncertainty, particularly when it involves the people who support your child or family. Please be assured that supporting our clients and carefully planning for continuity of care will remain our highest priority throughout this transition. While Spectrum House as we know it is closing, the relationships, knowledge and impact created here will continue. The ripples continue.
Looking Back
It has been an incredible privilege to be part of the lives of thousands of children and families. Spectrum House has also been proud to supervise and mentor provisional and early career psychologists as they developed into exceptional clinicians. Many of those clinicians now work across Australia, carrying their experience from Spectrum House into the lives of many more children and families.
Every child supported, family empowered and clinician mentored has been part of the story of Spectrum House and we are incredibly proud of the community that has grown around us.
What Does This Mean for Current Clients?
Supporting our clients remains our highest priority throughout this transition. Emma-Rose will continue working with her current clients into the future. For families currently seeing one of our other psychologists, their care at Spectrum House will come to an end when the practice closes.
We understand that this may feel like a significant change, particularly for families who have built a strong and trusted relationship with their psychologist. Over the coming weeks, your psychologist will speak with you personally about what the closure means for you or your child and, where ongoing support is needed, help you consider the most appropriate next steps.
These conversations may take place during an appointment or via phone or email, depending on your individual circumstances. Every family will receive individual communication and we will do everything we reasonably can to make the transition thoughtful, well planned and supportive. There is nothing you need to do immediately. Your psychologist will be in contact with you and there will be time to talk through your individual circumstances and plan for the end of the year together.
What's Next for Emma-Rose?
Emma-Rose will continue working with children, families and the professionals around them, with an increasing focus on creating change within educational communities. She will partner with schools and educators to help them better understand and support neurodivergent children and to genuinely adopt and embed Neurodiversity Affirming Education Approaches (NDEA).
She will also continue supervising psychologists, educators and other professionals, drawing on more than two decades of clinical experience.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family's journey and for trusting us with something as important as your own or your child's wellbeing and mental health. You have helped shape what comes next. Your experiences, challenges, insights and successes have deepened our understanding of what children need from the people and environments around them.
Spectrum House may be closing its doors as a group practice, yet what has been built here does not disappear with those doors closing.
It lives on in the children who have grown, the families we have walked alongside, the clinicians who developed their careers here and the educators and communities who will carry this work forward.
